Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement sets out our approach to accessibility, known limitations, how we test the site and how to report a problem.
Scope of this statement
This statement applies to the Axolotl Cyber Security website published at axolotlcs.com, operated by Axolotl Cyber Security Limited. It does not cover third-party systems we may link to, or applications provided to clients under separate contract.
How accessible this website is
We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing process. The site is designed and tested against recognised accessibility requirements, but some content, functionality or browser and assistive technology combinations may not yet provide the experience we intend.
What we have done
- Built the site using semantic HTML so headings, landmarks, lists and tables convey structure to assistive technology.
- Provided a skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
- Maintained a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Set text and interface contrast to meet or exceed the level AA thresholds.
- Designed the site to remain usable at 200% zoom and at a 320 pixel viewport width without horizontal scrolling.
- Made interactive functionality available from the keyboard, including navigation menus and expandable sections.
- Honoured the operating system's reduced-motion preference where animation is used.
- Used link text that provides meaningful context and avoided non-descriptive text such as "click here".
- Used relative and scalable text sizing so browser and operating system text-size settings can be applied.
- Avoided unnecessary third-party embeds that can introduce inaccessible content outside our control.

We review the website regularly and record known accessibility limitations below. Where a date is given, it is our current target rather than a guarantee.

Content not covered
Where we publish documents such as PDFs, they may not meet the same accessibility standard, particularly if they were produced before this statement was prepared. If you need a document in an accessible format — such as an accessible PDF, plain text, large print or another format you specify — contact us and we will work to provide an appropriate alternative.

The public sector accessibility regulations do not apply to this website, as Axolotl Cyber Security is not a public sector body. We nevertheless aim to meet the same accessibility standard wherever reasonably practicable.
Technical information
We are committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. The site is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and relies on browser support for HTML5 semantics, CSS custom properties, CSS grid and ECMAScript modules.
Content is readable without JavaScript. Navigation, the article contents rail and client-side form validation require JavaScript.
How we tested
This website was last tested on by our own engineering team. Testing covered a representative sample of templates, including the home page, a service page, an article, a listing page, the contact form and a legal page.
Testing included:
- keyboard-only navigation of every page in the sample;
- viewport widths of 320, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels, and 200% browser zoom;
- automated checks against the WCAG 2.2 level A and AA success criteria;
- manual review of heading structure, landmarks, link text, form labels and error messages;
- colour contrast measurement of text, focus indicators and interface components.
We have not yet commissioned an independent accessibility audit. When we do, we will update this statement with the auditor, date and relevant findings.
