Cookie policy
This website is deliberately built without advertising, tracking or third-party analytics. The result is that there is very little to tell you — but you are entitled to know exactly what is stored, so here it is.
What this website stores
One item, and only if you visit the cookie settings and record a preference.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
axcs_cookie_preferences |
Local storage | Records your cookie category choices so you are not asked again | 182 days | First party |
This value never leaves your browser. It is read by the website's own JavaScript and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Our hosting platform may also set a short-lived cookie for security or load balancing as part of serving the page. This is strictly necessary for the website to work and carries no information about you.
Cookie categories
The cookie settings panel offers four categories. Only the first is currently in use; the others are defined so that the mechanism is ready if it is ever needed.
- Essential
- Needed for the website to function, including remembering your cookie choices and keeping the site secure. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional
- Remember choices you make, such as interface preferences. None are currently in use.
- Analytics
- Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics. None are currently in use.
- Marketing
- Used to measure campaign effectiveness. We do not build advertising profiles, and none are currently in use.
All optional categories default to off. Nothing in a non-essential category is loaded before you have actively consented to it.
Third-party content
This website loads no third-party scripts, fonts, maps, video embeds or social media widgets. All fonts are those already installed on your device, and all images are served from our own domain.
This is a deliberate design decision. Embedded third-party content is the most common route by which tracking enters an otherwise privacy-respecting website, usually without anyone intending it.
Managing storage in your browser
You can delete or block cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings, usually under privacy or site permissions. Blocking storage for this site will simply mean your cookie preference is forgotten between visits; nothing else will break.
The following resources explain browser controls in more detail. They are maintained by their respective publishers and we do not control their contents.
If this changes
If we introduce any non-essential cookie or third-party script, we will update this policy and the privacy notice before it goes live, enable the consent mechanism, and set all optional categories to off by default.
